Fashion Week Seen on the Streets

The week that only comes twice a year and that all fashion lovers wait for has finally arrived, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. Many of the au von guard looks that the models are owning seem impossible to translate into wearable pieces for the everyday woman, but trust me, it can be done. Here are the 5 most wearable trends straight from the runway.

1. Black and white

Pastels aren't the only colors being seen in the spring time anymore. Throughout the week designers have been putting their models in black and white looks, using a modern take on a classic color palate. As one can see from the picture on the left, the looks aren't always easy to recreate. The look on the right is a casual take on this trend that can be easily made your own

2. Wide leg trousers
Don't think you have to be a six foot model to rock this look because soon enough everyone will be strutting the streets in wide leg, airy pants. This picture is one of many ways one could style these trousers. It combines lace, light pastels, and, of course, wide leg trousers!
3. Best Faux Furs
6 more weeks of winter won't be stopping you! Keep yourself warm on the chilly streets with fake fur vests and jackets. These pieces are coming back in style to stay. They will get you through these brutal winter days and into the Spring.

4. New Spin on Business Wear
The runway has been broadcasting to the world that business wear does not need to be conservative and boring anymore! Designers were placing their models in scandalous and fashionable business clothes that breaks all the previous standards set. You may not want to wear a collared shirt with only the fist button done, but something more realistic might be bright purple pants paired with a polk-a-dot blouse, and chic messenger style bag.
5. Boxy, Copped Jackets
These non-motto jackets will be a great addition to your layering arsenal. These copped jackets come in various pattern and textures. Pairs great with body-con dresses, tailored trousers, and office-ready skirts. Also, these jackets can be paired with your everyday on-the-go jeans. You can never have too many jackets!
